What is the Local Link
The greatest source of support and inspiration in my life.
Sadly passed away 21st of August 2022 and buried today the 29th of August 2022 that was also her 74th birthday.
Without her support and inspiration in life, I don't know where I would be today. But I do know that because I had it, more than anything else, I wish to help others.
A goal for well over a decade, ready waiting for 3 years until "I had the time". Today, "I'm taking the time..."
This site is dedicated to my dear Mum, who was and always will be an inspiration to me.
The Local Link website is a place to promote your town on the Internet.
Advertise local businesses, promote community and sporting clubs and spread the word about everything great in your town. Share information that's useful for locals and encourage tourists to come and visit.
Initially it was to be a website to promote the township of Nyah West where Improved Software is based.
But nearby is the township of Nyah... Well we would have to include them. But what about the other towns nearby?
Faced with this dilemma, the solution seemed to be a site for each town. But licensing costs would run into many thousands of dollars. Add to that hosting and domains, plus labour.
A similar issue was coming up with our business website. Developing different products, it would be too confusing to include all the information, updates, help pages in a single website. They really needed their own mini sites so our customers could find what they needed easily.
So we "Improved" our Improved Website product to be able to handle multiple sites
OK, that's a while away. But it's now possible to create a new site for each town and start to promote it.
We're starting with Nyah West and Nyah. Then the surrounding towns and I hope to one day be popping into your town to say hello and help promote and encourage growth with a dedicated website.
Because the Local Link site is built with our Improved Website SaaS product, this means it will get all the updates and improvements as we continue to develop it into the future.
Being from a small town, it's always been a goal of ours to help local businesses and promote tourism. A website can also be a great tool for the community to share information about upcoming events and local community and sporting groups.
